Six Arrested for Posting Videos on Social Media Showing Aftermath of Iranian Aggression

Manama: The Ministry of Interior announced that the Anti-Cybercrime Directorate at the General Directorate of Anti-Corruption, Economic and Electronic Security has identified and arrested six individuals. These arrests followed their actions of filming and publishing video clips related to the aftermath of the Iranian aggression. The individuals expressed sympathy with the aggression and glorified its hostile acts through their social media accounts. These videos had the potential to mislead public opinion, spread fear among citizens and residents, and harm security and public order.

According to Bahrain News Agency, legal procedures have been undertaken, and the arrested individuals have been referred to the Public Prosecution. The Ministry emphasized the importance of acquiring information from official sources and cautioned against the circulation or reposting of unreliable videos or news. This measure aims to avoid legal accountability and protect the security and safety of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
