Manama: In implementation of the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, allocation procedures have commenced for Phase Two of the Sitra Housing City project. This initiative is part of the broader effort to accelerate housing projects in the Kingdom of Bahrain, aiming to deliver 50,000 new housing units.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning has announced the initiation of draw procedures for housing units under Phase Two, which comprises 531 housing units. The electronic draw is being conducted efficiently, with ministry teams providing guidance to beneficiaries on the process and available options.
The ministry has stated its commitment to continue engaging with citizens to complete the draw procedures, extending congratulations to the beneficiaries of the housing services. Beneficiaries have expressed satisfaction with the process, praising the organisation and clarity provided by specialists regarding housing units, conditions, guarantees, and the electronic draw mechanism.
The Sitra Housing City project is set to offer over 3,000 housing services, covering an area of 243 hectares with integrated infrastructure and advanced community facilities. Secondary infrastructure networks are complete, including extensive sewage, stormwater, water, electricity, and telecommunications networks.
Strategically located with waterfronts exceeding six kilometres, the city incorporates modern urban standards, transport networks, cycling and pedestrian paths, and designated areas for parks and open spaces. These features, along with modern housing designs, aim to meet the aspirations of Bahraini families.
