Manama: Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, received Abdulla Isa Al Mannai, Executive Director of the King Hamad Global Centre for Coexistence and Tolerance (KHGC). The two sides discussed ways to strengthen collaboration on initiatives that promote civic values and inclusive dialogue. Al Abbasi highlighted the Shura Council's readiness to support joint efforts aimed at enhancing public and parliamentary awareness, positioning Bahrain as a global model for peaceful coexistence and interfaith harmony.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Abbasi affirmed that the centre reflects Bahrain's longstanding commitment to promoting tolerance, openness, and mutual respect, an approach that is adopted by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. She commended the centre's influential role in advancing these principles both locally and internationally.
Al Mannai expressed his appreciation for the council's cooperation, noting its legislative and oversight functions. He affirmed the centre's commitment to building meaningful institutional partnerships that reinforce Bahrain's reputation as a model of coexistence and tolerance.
