Shura Member Participates in Arab Parliament Committee Meeting on Regional Security

Cairo: Dr. Adel Abdulrahman Al Maawda, member of the Shura Council, participated in the meeting of the Committee on Foreign, Political, and National Security Affairs, held as part of the third plenary session of the first legislative term of the Arab Parliament in Cairo.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Maawda affirmed Bahrain's strong interest in regional political and security developments, in line with the vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. His Majesty's approach emphasizes fostering regional stability and prosperity through diplomatic cooperation and peaceful conflict resolution, guided by the principles of constructive dialogue in addressing security and political challenges.

The committee reviewed a parliamentary framework for preventive diplomacy, outlining its definition, objectives, mechanisms, and successful Arab mediation efforts in conflict resolution. It also examined strategies to counter modern drug trafficking methods, focusing on international measures, preventive strategies, and the role of media and digital platforms in addressing the issue.
