Shura Council: Youth’s innovations, initiatives tributaries of kingdom’s progress march

The Shura Council has stated that Bahraini youth’s innovations and initiatives are among the important tributaries of the progress and prosperity process, currently witnessed by the kingdom under His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s comprehensive development march.

The Council expressed deep pride in the great status enjoyed by Bahraini youth, thanks to the unwavering support of HM the King, making them essential partners in implementing the development programmes across various fields.

In a statement marking the International Youth Day, observed worldwide on August 12 under the theme “Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovation for Human and Planetary Health”, the Shura Council praised the government’s efforts to put forward strategies and programme aimed at paving the way for youth’s effective participation in the national achievements and successes, valuing highly the direct interest of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, in Bahraini youth and keenness to motivate them to contribute to the nation’s building and progress.

The Shura Council extended congratulations to all Bahraini youth, lauding their giving and dedication in the service of the kingdom, noting that they are ambitious and eager to build a more prosperous future for their homeland.

It also indicated that Bahraini youth are keen to invest in their potentials and harness their capabilities to confirm their pivotal role in enhancing the kingdom’s progress, and raising its flag on the platforms of achievements, creativity and innovation.

The Shura Council praised the unwavering interest of HM the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in Bahraini youth and keenness to motivate them to carry on their national giving, and positive participation in implementing the national strategies at all levels.

It also commended the initiatives and programmes launched by HH Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa, First Deputy President of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of the General Sports Authority and President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, to support Bahraini youth and pave the way for them to take part in international gatherings and increase the kingdom’s achievements, especially in the sports field.

The Shura Council pledged to continue passing laws and legislation to support Bahraini youth, serve them and protect their rights, out of its belief in their role in building a prosperous future for the kingdom.
