Shura Council Wins Bahrain Digital Content Award 2025 for Enhanced Website Project

Manama: The Shura Council has been awarded the 2025 Bahrain Digital Content Award in the "Inclusion and Empowerment" category for its newly enhanced website (shura.bh). The award, organised by the Bahrain Technology Companies Society (BTECH) in partnership with WorkSmart, recognises outstanding achievements in digital innovation.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Shura Council's website was honoured for serving as an interactive legislative platform, providing comprehensive, up-to-date information on sessions, committees, legislation, and decisions. The platform enables transparent tracking of the legislative process since 2002 and incorporates accessibility tools for users with special needs.

Karima Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Shura Council, said that this award reflects the Council's ongoing efforts to implement the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, focusing on harnessing modern technologies and artificial intelligence to advance national development. She also highlighted the Secretariat's commitment to supporting the government's drive, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to adopt the latest digital innovations and promote digital transformation across all sectors.

Al Abbasi added that, under the guidance of Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Shura Chairman, the Secretariat remains dedicated to expanding digital transformation and adopting advanced technologies to enhance legislative efficiency and service delivery for members and committees.

She concluded by noting that the award serves as a further incentive to accelerate digital transformation and institutional performance, commending the award's rigorous standards and its role in promoting excellence and innovation in digital content.
