Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received the 21st annual report of the National Audit Office (NAO) for the professional year 2023/2024 from Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, NAO Auditor General. Al Saleh praised the role of the NAO's reports in promoting transparency, integrity, and accountability while enhancing professionalism and efficiency in government entities under its jurisdiction. According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh commended the mechanisms and standards employed by the NAO to ensure the sustainable implementation of developmental projects and programmes in line with the highest standards of quality and efficiency. He highlighted the NAO's dedication to monitoring and auditing the performance of government institutions, emphasizing the importance of the observations and recommendations included in the annual report to improve institutional performance. Al Saleh lauded the efforts of Shaikh Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and the skilled Bahraini workforce at the NAO for their commitment and professionalism, which contribute to the preparation of comprehensive and high-quality reports that support the Kingdom's ongoing development.
