Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, congratulated the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of its 53rd National Day, celebrated this year under the theme "Spirit of the Union." Al Saleh sent a cable of congratulations to Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), and expressed pride in the UAE's developmental achievements, under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi. According to Bahrain News Agency, the chairman commended the strong Bahrain-UAE relations, supported by the leadership of both countries. He emphasised the commitment to further enhancing these relations to serve the mutual interests of the two countries and their people. Al Saleh also commended the advanced level of parliamentary cooperation and coordination between the Shura Council and the UAE FNC. He underscored the importance of strengthening these ti es to achieve greater alignment in views and positions in international parliamentary forums. The chairman also sent a similar cable to Fahad Mohammed Salem bin Kardous Al Ameri, UAE Ambassador to Bahrain.
