Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, praised the content of the remarks delivered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the media, saying they clearly reflected a firm and consistent leadership vision centred on safeguarding Bahrain’s security, protecting its sovereignty, and reinforcing the principle that the nation stands above all and that loyalty to it is a duty that cannot be compromised.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Chairman said that His Majesty’s firm positions on the Iranian aggression, and the facts revealed regarding those who collaborated or broke ranks, reflect a clear and decisive approach to defending the nation’s resources and confronting any attempt to undermine its security and stability. He stressed that the royal directives represent a unifying national reference that strengthens internal cohesion and reinforces unity, while guiding continued progress and development under His Majesty’s leadership.
He added that His Majesty’s emphasis on holding accountable all those who betrayed the nation or collaborated with its enemies reflects a commitment to upholding the rule of law, safeguarding the authority of the state, and protecting the rights of loyal citizens. He noted that the principles outlined by His Majesty regarding genuine citizenship reinforce the values of belonging and loyalty, stressing that citizenship is a binding covenant founded on commitment and fidelity.
The Chairman said that the current phase requires all to stand united behind the leadership of His Majesty the King and to act collectively in confronting every traitor and accomplice, and anyone who seeks to betray the nation or cooperate with its enemies. He stressed that national unity remains the strongest safeguard against attempts to undermine Bahrain’s security and stability, and that genuine national alignment is essential to protecting the country’s achievements and resources.
He affirmed that Bahraini citizenship is not a mere word or a document, but a deeply rooted value defined by loyalty, belonging, and a commitment to defend the nation and safeguard its interests. He added that this requires a willingness to make sacrifices to preserve the nation’s strength and resilience against any threat.
The Chairman said that His Majesty’s emphasis on preserving the integrity of the legislative authority underscores the importance of ensuring that parliamentary institutions remain a stronghold for the nation and a platform that reflects the aspirations of the people while protecting their interests. He stressed that there is no place within these institutions for those who stand with those who betray the nation, adding that the current phase requires the highest levels of national responsibility and adherence to established national principles, with no tolerance for siding with or sympathising with those who have harmed the country.
He affirmed the full support of the Shura Council for His Majesty the King and its endorsement of the firm positions outlined in his remarks. He also expressed strong condemnation of the Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain’s security and stability, stressing that such acts will only strengthen national unity and reinforce loyalty to the leadership.
The Chairman noted that His Majesty’s praise for the supportive positions of GCC countries reflects the depth of ties and shared destiny among Gulf states, and strengthens the collective Gulf stance in addressing regional challenges, particularly in light of the Iranian attacks that targeted civilian sites, infrastructure, energy facilities and residential areas.
