Shura Chairman stresses support for SMEs

Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has praised the major role played by the Bahrain Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Development Society in boosting the national economy, haling its initiatives in supporting entrepreneurs, and keenness to embrace youth’s ideas, hone their talent and achieve their aspirations, through providing the professional bases for the launch of their enterprises, integrating them in the labour market and providing incubators that develop the investment and economic partnerships.

Al-Saleh was speaking while receiving here today Member of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the SMEs Development Society, MP Ahmed Sabah Al-Saloom, along with several members of the Society’s Board of Directors.

He stressed the importance of partnership and exchange of views that contribute to making decisions that empower businesses and help establish an integrated work strategy, lauding the SMEs Development Society’s programmes and events.

Al-Saleh expressed the Shura Council’s keenness to back the national laws and legislation that boost the entrepreneurship sector, as well as consolidate the institutional and regulatory frameworks that provide an economic environment that is capable of embracing and encouraging small and medium-sized enterprises, praising the SMEs Development Society’s adoption of an ambitious strategy that is consistent with the kingdom’s promising economic vision 2030.

SMEs Development Society Chairman expressed thanks and appreciation to the Shura Chairman for his constant support, valuing highly his support for providing opportunities for young entrepreneurs, and supporting legislation that stimulates them to achieve the success of their projects.
