Shura Chairman Strengthens Bahrain-Lebanon Diplomatic Ties

Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received Merna Khawly, Charg© d'Affaires of the Lebanese Embassy in Bahrain. The meeting reviewed means to support bilateral cooperation, especially in parliamentary matters, to promote Bahrain-Lebanon relations and propel them towards broader horizons of coordination and integration.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh highlighted a new phase of cooperation between Bahrain and Lebanon, built on historic ties, and praised the positive steps that strengthen communication and advance bilateral relations across multiple domains. He noted that the recent visit of His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, to Bahrain was a significant milestone. Furthermore, he emphasised that His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's decision to establish a permanent Bahraini diplomatic mission in Lebanon marks an important step towards enhancing cooperation and coordination, reinforcing the historical ties between the two countries at all levels.

On her part, the Charg© d'Affaires commended Bahrain's support for Lebanon's unity and stability. She underscored the Lebanese Embassy in Manama's keenness to continue diplomatic efforts that serve the interests of both countries and peoples and to enhance joint coordination on regional and international issues.
