Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, received Taha Mohammed Abdel Qader, the outgoing Ambassador of the State of Palestine. Al Saleh emphasized Bahrain's dedication to supporting the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of its people to establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh reiterated Bahrain's commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to fostering cooperation and joint efforts toward a two-state solution. This approach aligns with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
The Chairman acknowledged the ambassador's role in enhancing Bahrain-Palestine ties, especially in the parliamentary field. Al Saleh praised the strong bilateral relations and wished Ambassador Abdel Qader success in his future endeavors.
Ambassador Abdel Qader expressed appreciation for Bahrain's progress, noting its model of economic, commercial, cultural, and parliamentary development. He expressed pride in his service in Bahrain, highlighting the Kingdom's achievements in coexistence, tolerance, and global human fraternity.
