Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, participated in the Third Arab Forum for Parliamentary Media. The event was organized by the Arab Administrative Development Organisation (ARADO), affiliated with the League of Arab States, with backing from the Shura Council, the Council of Representatives, and the Gulf University. The forum focused on "Parliamentary Media in the Age of AI: Ensuring Credibility and Creating Impact."
According to Bahrain News Agency, Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives, was also present at the forum. The chairman emphasized Bahrain's commitment, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, to investing in knowledge, innovation, and responsible media. These efforts are seen as key components in the Kingdom's developmental journey and in strengthening its regional and international presence.
Al Saleh expressed pride in the achievements of the Shura Council and the Council of Representatives, highlighting their role in enhancing public engagement through parliamentary media. He noted that their communication efforts with citizens are rooted in the principles established by His Majesty the King, focusing on popular participation, justice, and equality.
He added that both councils are committed to developing parliamentary media tools and leveraging modern digital technologies to highlight legislative achievements. This includes exploring artificial intelligence to deliver high-quality content that aligns with societal aspirations and reflects the national role of the councils.
The Chairman underscored the importance of the forum as a platform for exchanging experiences and establishing practical frameworks to elevate Arab parliamentary media. He emphasized the forum's role in reinforcing democratic values, accountability, and transparency, and in creating a joint Arab vision that positions parliamentary media as a catalyst for development and stability.
Al Saleh concluded by noting the shared Arab commitment to enhancing the parliamentary media system and improving its efficiency in response to rapid technological and communication changes, thereby strengthening the connection between parliaments and their communities.
