Manama: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, congratulated Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa on being awarded the sword and medal of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in recognition of his distinguished military career and as the first Bahraini to graduate from the academy after joining it in 1957. According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh stated that the honour marks 70 years of relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Sandhurst. It reflects Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa's pioneering role in Bahrain's military and leadership development. The Chairman highlighted the longstanding relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, spanning more than 210 years, including cooperation in military and leadership training. He noted that Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa's experience at Sandhurst paved the way for successive generations of Bahrainis to benefit from the academy's expertise and training.
