Shura Chairman: Bahrain’s Tier-1 status reflects Bahrain’s leading status in human rights respect

Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh, has extended deepest congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, on Bahrain’s success in maintaining the Tier-1 status in the US State Department’s 2021 report on Trafficking in Persons for the fourth straight year.

Al-Saleh asserted that the classification is the highest in the humanitarian field which the kingdom has retained for four years in a row, noting that the global honour reflects HM King Hamad’s belief in human rights, and crowns HM’s role in consolidating regional and international security and stability.

He pointed out that the exploit adds to Bahrain’s landmark achievements in respecting the human rights of the citizens and residents during HM the King’s prosperous era, making the kingdom a role model to be emulated at the regional and global levels.

The Shura Chairman also extended sincere congratulations to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, on the milestone, expressing pride in the global accomplishment that translates HM the King’s directives into the ground.
