Manama: Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, and Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, welcomed Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, Speaker of the Shura Council of the State of Qatar, along with his delegation. Their visit coincides with the 19th Periodic Meeting of the Leaders of Shura, Representatives, National, and Ummah Councils of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, taking place in Bahrain from November 11 to 13.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Musallam and Al Saleh highlighted the strong ties between Bahrain and Qatar, which are bolstered by the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar. Al Ghanim expressed appreciation to the Bahraini officials for their dedication to enhancing GCC parliamentary cooperation and praised Bahrain for its role in hosting the GCC parliamentary meetings.
