Shura and Representatives Secretariats Commemorate Bahrain’s National Days

Manama: The Shura and Representatives secretariats hosted a ceremony to honor Bahrain's National Days, celebrating the establishment of modern Bahrain as an Arab Islamic state by Ahmed Al Fateh in 1783 and the anniversary of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's accession. According to Bahrain News Agency, the ceremony featured speeches from Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary General of the Council of Representatives, and Karima Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Shura Council. Both officials extended their congratulations to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. Al Buainain commended national identity initiatives and partnerships with the Shura secretariat, emphasizing the commitment to teamwork and development under the "Team Bahrain" banner. He announced a programme aimed at strengthening national identity in line with royal directives, underscoring efforts to enhance cooperati on with the Shura Council secretariat within a sustainable strategic framework. Al Abbasi noted Bahrain's progress under the leadership of HM the King and stressed the importance of unity in fostering a prosperous future. The ceremony also coincided with Bahrain's annual Commemoration Day on 17 December, during which participants honored the sacrifices of fallen heroes who served the Kingdom with dedication.
