Istanbul: Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives, and Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, met with Hseyin Krsat Kirbiyik, Secretary-General of the Grand National Assembly of Trkiye, on the sidelines of the 152nd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Istanbul. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation and coordination among the general secretariats of the councils and parliaments.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions aimed to exchange expertise and best practices in parliamentary and administrative work. This exchange supports institutional performance and seeks to develop joint mechanisms, especially in the areas of digital transformation and artificial intelligence. The officials underscored the necessity of ongoing coordination and communication, particularly in parliamentary practices and support services for legislative work.
The meeting highlights the commitment of the Shura and Representatives Councils to reinforce parliamentary cooperation and share successful experiences with international counterparts. The emphasis was also placed on strengthening collaboration in regional and international parliamentary forums.
