Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Participates in Kazakhstan Space Days Forum 2025

Almaty: Shaikh Khalid bin Ali Al Khalifa, Deputy National Security Advisor, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Defence Council, and Chairman of the Bahrain Space Agency, participated in the International Forum Space Days Kazakhstan 2025, held in Almaty on September 8-9.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the forum gathered over 500 participants and more than 30 speakers across 15 main sessions. These sessions tackled critical topics in space technology, including educational and training initiatives for youth, satellite tracking for safe and sustainable space activities, the future role of geostationary satellites in communications and early warning systems, and the application of artificial intelligence and digital technologies in Earth observation.

During the event, Shaikh Khalid bin Ali held a meeting with Baubek Oralmagambetov, Chairman of Kazakhstan's Aerospace Committee. The discussion focused on strengthening cooperation between the Bahrain Space Agency and Kazakh space institutions.

The forum also featured international astronauts who shared their field experiences and explored opportunities for astronaut training and joint exploration programs.

Shaikh Khalid bin Ali highlighted that Bahrain's participation underscores the strong ties with Kazakhstan and offers an opportunity to exchange expertise, support the agency's strategic goals, and promote Bahrain's advancement in science, technology, and innovation.
