Shaikh Isa Bin Salman Attends Royal Windsor Horse Show For King’s Cup

Manama: On behalf of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister's Court and Chairman of the High Committee of the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club, attended the King's Cup and the Royal Windsor Endurance supported by the Kingdom of Bahrain, as part of the Royal Windsor Horse Show. This event attracted jockeys from around the globe.

According to Bahrain News Agency, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman affirmed the longstanding relationship between Bahrain and the United Kingdom, which is founded on strategic partnerships across various sectors, reflecting the historical bonds between the two kingdoms. His Highness emphasized that these relations continue to strengthen through the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

His Highness noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty the King and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, is committed to developing its equestrian and horse racing sector, further consolidating the Kingdom's position in this field. He highlighted that equestrian sports and horse racing are integral to Bahraini-UK relations, noting the history and shared interest of both countries in promoting these sports.

He stressed the importance of continuing to expand cooperation across various sectors, particularly in equestrian sports. During the event, His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman presented awards to the winners, congratulating them and wishing them continued success.

The winner of the Kingdom of Bahrain Stakes for the King's Cup was jockey Ben Maher from the United Kingdom. In the Royal Windsor Endurance, supported by the Kingdom of Bahrain, jockey Saeed Ahmed AlMarri from the United Arab Emirates secured first place in the 120 km race, while jockey Saeed Mohammed Al Mehairi from the UAE took first place in the 100 km race. The event was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, and His Highness Shaikh Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
