New York:His Excellency President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal met with Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, during the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Bahrain News Agency, President Faye welcomed Dr. Al Zayani and requested he convey his greetings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain.
The Senegalese President praised the strong relationship and cooperation between Senegal and Bahrain, noting the ongoing growth in areas of mutual interest. He also acknowledged Bahrain's active diplomatic efforts as a member of the UN Security Council and expressed his wishes for the Kingdom's continued progress and prosperity.
Dr. Al Zayani extended the greetings of Bahrain's King and Crown Prince, along with their best wishes for Senegal's future advancement and success.
The meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and increasing coordination to support both countries' shared interests. Discussions also included regional developments and their effects on international security and stability, along with other topics of mutual concern.
The meeting was attended by Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Rowaiei, Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the United Nations, Ambassador Saeed Abdulkhaliq Saeed, Chief of Coordination and Follow-up, and other members of the ministerial delegation.
