Geneva: Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, and Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives and Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, participated in a series of discussions with their counterparts from various countries. The meetings were part of the Association of Secretaries General of Parliaments (ASGP) Assembly, held alongside the 151st General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) in Geneva.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on retirement policies for parliamentary staff. Participants shared their national experiences and explored administrative challenges and best practices aimed at enhancing human resource management. The meeting also examined ways to ensure the sustainability of skilled professionals and institutional expertise within parliamentary secretariats, thereby improving the overall quality of support provided to members of parliament.
Participants exchanged insights on modern approaches to employment and retirement policies, emphasizing the importance of aligning them with contemporary administrative standards to boost institutional efficiency across parliaments.
The participation of the Secretaries-General of both chambers highlighted the Kingdom of Bahrain's commitment to active engagement in the international parliamentary arena and its dedication to adopting advanced administrative models that support the continuous development and modernization of legislative and institutional work.
