Manama:Exhibition World Bahrain: The second edition of the Innovation Summit in the Social Housing Sector is set to open tomorrow under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. This event will take place at Exhibition World Bahrain.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the summit is organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Eskan Bank, in collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). It will be part of the fourth GCC Housing Week, running until October 3.
The conference will include the signing of cooperation agreements in the housing sector and the announcement of new housing projects. Additionally, exclusive deals will be available from participating banks and real estate development companies at the accompanying exhibition.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore various projects, their locations, and financing solutions. The event will host officials, experts, and specialists from Bahrain and GCC states, who will discuss the future of social housing, financing solutions, and the role of the private sector. Topics will also include digital transformation and construction technologies.
The five-day exhibition will feature housing service providers, banks, and real estate developers. Citizens can compare projects and financing options and learn about procedures before choosing a suitable home.
Dedicated pavilions will highlight GCC experiences, showcasing housing projects and initiatives from member states. The event will also coincide with Bahrain's hosting of the 24th meeting of GCC housing ministers, promoting expertise exchange and joint housing initiatives.
Additionally, the third GCC Housing Hackathon will occur, with university students from GCC states presenting innovative housing concepts. Winning teams will be honored during the conference.
Seven platinum sponsors from the banking and real estate sectors will participate, including Al Salam Bank, Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait (BBK), Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB), Diyar Al Muharraq, Khaleeji Bank, Kuwait Finance House - Bahrain (KFH-Bahrain), and National Bank of Bahrain (NBB).
