SCYS Sec-Gen: Lamea Award Highlights Bahrain’s Advancement in Youth Empowerment.

Manama: Ayman bin Tawfiq Al Moayyed, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS), stated that the recognition of the Lamea national programme as the Best Arab Government Project to Empower Young People reflects Bahrain's progress in youth empowerment. According to Bahrain News Agency, he highlighted the programme's alignment with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to invest in youth potential and the efforts of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to empower youth as drivers of national development. Launched in 2021 by His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the SCYS, the Lamea programme equips Bahraini youth with the skills and expertise to contribute to sustainable development. The programme has become a leading initiative in the Arab region, fostering youth competitiveness and empowering them to pl ay key roles in shaping the future. Al Moayyed commended the programme's success in fostering a foundation of skilled Bahraini youth who actively participate in national development projects. He reaffirmed SCYS's commitment to advancing the programme and fostering youth contributions to Bahrain's development.
