Manama: The General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS) held an event to mark Bahraini Women's Day 2025, celebrated this year under the theme "Bahraini Women: Distinction, Creativity, Innovation."
According to Bahrain News Agency, Noora Ahmed Al Balooshi, Director-General of Planning and Resources at the General Secretariat, emphasised that the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa is key to the success and progress of Bahraini women. She also highlighted the guidance of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, which has significantly expanded professional development opportunities for women across various sectors.
Al Balooshi also commended the efforts of Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, consort of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), noting Her Royal Highness' distinguished example in supporting Bahraini women. She emphasised that HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim's initiatives have advanced women's participation and enhanced their active role as partners in building the state.
She also highlighted the distinguished status of Bahraini women and their influential role across science and work, recognising the outstanding contributions of female staff at the General Secretariat and the SCYS. She expressed appreciation to them for their continuous dedication and contributions in advancing institutional development.
