Sheikh Abdulaziz was a prominent religious leader serving as the head of the Council of Senior Scholars, the General Presidency of Scholarly Research and Ifta, and the Supreme Council of the Muslim World League.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the SCIA's statement emphasized the Grand Mufti's significant role as a distinguished figure within the Muslim Ummah. The statement also highlighted his advocacy for moderation and his steadfast defense of the principles of true faith.
