Manama: Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa, President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA), recently met with Mohammed Abdelsalam, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders (MCE). The meeting focused on reviewing the outcomes of the Intra-Islamic Dialogue Conference held in Bahrain last February, as well as the progress made in implementing its recommendations.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions also included preparations for the second edition of the conference, which is scheduled to take place in Cairo in the first quarter of the upcoming year. Both parties emphasized their commitment to enhancing cooperation and building on the achievements of the previous conference.
Mohammed Abdelsalam praised the SCIA’s efforts in forging strong partnerships with Al Azhar and the MCE to advance moderation, coexistence, and global peace.
