Manama: The Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) has announced that the Moon Sighting Committee will meet on the evening of Tuesday, Sha'ban 25, 1447 AH, corresponding to February 17, 2025. The purpose of this meeting is to gather testimonies on the sighting of the crescent moon, which signifies the beginning of the holy month of Ramadhan, from both within the Kingdom and reports from the Islamic world that confirm the start of the month.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the council has urged individuals who have credible testimonies or information regarding the sighting of the crescent moon to promptly contact the Moon Sighting Committee. This initiative is aimed at ensuring that the beginning of Ramadhan is accurately determined based on reliable evidence.
