Manama: Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), recently visited the Cardiology Unit at Salmaniya Medical Complex to review its operations and monitor progress in enhancing specialized cardiac care services.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Lt. Gen. Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah received a briefing on the diagnostic and therapeutic services provided by the unit, which align with the latest international medical standards. The briefing also covered the unit's training and research programs aimed at improving healthcare quality and expanding specialized services across government hospitals.
The SCH Chairman commended the advanced services offered by Salmaniya Medical Complex in cardiac patient care. He praised the efficiency and expertise of national medical professionals who contribute significantly to achieving national health objectives and delivering integrated healthcare in line with international best practices.
Dr. Maryam Athbi Al Jalahma, Chief Executive Officer of Government Hospitals Administration, emphasized that the development of the Cardiology Unit is part of ongoing plans to upgrade infrastructure and expand capacity at Salmaniya Medical Complex. She highlighted that the unit is enhancing its diagnostic and treatment services by adopting advanced digital technologies, which help to accelerate diagnosis, improve accuracy, and enhance both patient experience and the overall quality of care.
