Saudi, Jordanian, and Qatari Leaders Meet in Jeddah to Address Regional Security Concerns

Jeddah: A trilateral meeting was held in Jeddah, bringing together His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar. The meeting focused on enhancing regional security and addressing risks associated with military escalation affecting navigation and energy supplies.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting reviewed regional developments and the implications of ongoing military escalation in the region, including its impact on international navigation, energy supply security, and the global economy. Discussions also addressed coordination of joint efforts to support regional security and stability, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The leaders affirmed that continued Iranian attacks on Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, targeting vital and civilian infrastructure, represent a serious escalation that threatens regional security and stability.

From the Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Governor of Makkah Region, Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al Aiban, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers and National Security Advisor, Khalid bin Ali Al Humaidan, President of the General Intelligence Presidency, and Dr. Bandar bin Obaid Al-Rasheed, Secretary to the Crown Prince.

From the Jordanian side, attendees included Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Major General Yousef Huneiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Alaa Batayneh, Director of the King's Office.

From the Qatari side, attendees included Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, Minister of Interior, Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, Chief of the Amiri Diwan, and a number of officials.
