Saudi Interior Ministry Urges Compliance with Hajj Regulations, Warns of Penalties

Manama: The Ministry of Interior in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia: affirmed that visit visas, regardless of their types or designations, do not permit holders to perform Hajj. It stressed that obtaining an official Hajj permit is a basic requirement for performing the pilgrimage.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry urged adherence to regulations and instructions governing the 1447 AH Hajj season, and cooperation with the relevant authorities to ensure the safety and security of pilgrims, warning that violations will be subject to legal penalties, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

It also called on the public to report any violations by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 999 in other regions of the Kingdom.
