Saudi Foreign Ministry Summons Iraqi Ambassador Over Drone Attacks

Riyadh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia summoned Safia Taleb Al Suhail, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Saudi Arabia, in response to the continued blatant attacks and threats targeting the Kingdom and the Gulf Cooperation Council States using drones launched from Iraqi territory.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Saud Al Sati, Deputy Minister for Political Affairs of Saudi Arabia, delivered an official protest note, expressing the Kingdom's strong condemnation and denunciation of these attacks originating from Iraq against Saudi Arabia and GCC states.

Dr. Al Sati stressed the importance of the Iraqi government assuming its responsibilities in seriously addressing these threats and attacks, reaffirming the Kingdom's categorical rejection of any violation of sovereignty or attempts to undermine the security and stability of the region. He also affirmed that Saudi Arabia will take all necessary measures to defend its security and protect its territory and citizens.
