Riyadh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia welcomed the announcement by President Donald Trump of the United States regarding the ceasefire agreement reached between the parties involved in the regional escalation, expressing appreciation for the efforts made to de-escalate tensions.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministry affirmed the Kingdom's anticipation of all parties' commitment to exercise restraint and refrain from the use or threat of force in the coming period. It expressed hope that the agreement will contribute to restoring security and stability in the region and spare it the dangers of continued escalation.
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia reiterated its steadfast position in supporting dialogue and diplomatic measures as the preferred means to resolve regional disputes and conflicts, founded on the principles of respecting state sovereignty and strengthening security, stability, prosperity, and development across the region and beyond.
