Manama: Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Al Ansari, CEO of the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA), highlighted that the Bahraini Council for Health Studies and Specialities' institutional accreditation by the Arab Board of Health Specialisations represents an important professional achievement that reflects the efficiency of the health system in the Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Ansari said this accreditation strengthens the position of Bahrain's national programmes in specialised medical education and training across the region. He noted that it offers more opportunities to qualify medical staff within the Kingdom through a recognised framework and supports developing local training to the highest standards, all within the country's ongoing comprehensive development led by His Majesty the King and guided by His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
He emphasised that this accreditation constitutes a pivotal milestone in the development of specialised medical education in Bahrain, as it helps to expand training opportunities locally within a recognised system, thereby enhancing the competence of health professionals and the sustainability of services at both the national and regional levels.
Dr. Al Ansari noted that the coming period will witness significant expansion and development in training programmes, in line with the best internationally recognised standards, further strengthening the capabilities of national medical staff and consolidating the Kingdom's position as a distinguished regional centre for health education and specialised training.
He underscored the NHRA's commitment to supporting the development of medical education pathways with partners in the health and education sectors, to achieve further accomplishments towards building an advanced and sustainable health system.
