Russian Central Bank Adjusts Exchange Rates: Dollar and Euro Down, Yuan Up Against Rouble

Moscow: The Central Bank of Russia announced updated exchange rates on Saturday, lowering the official rates for the US dollar and euro while raising the rate for the Chinese yuan against the Russian rouble. According to Bahrain News Agency, the US dollar was reduced by 1.74 kopecks to 77.8855 roubles, and the euro was lowered by 37.91 kopecks to 91.1201 roubles. Meanwhile, the yuan increased by 2.50 kopecks to 10.8435 roubles. The adjustments reflect global market dynamics and shifts in supply and demand for foreign currencies. The rise in the yuan's rate also highlights growing trade relations between Russia and China, with increased reliance on the Chinese currency in Russian markets amid global economic fluctuations and the impact of international sanctions.
