The Kurdish media network, Rudaw, stated: "The delegation of the Kurdistan Region will discuss with federal government officials the oil revenues and expenditures, and decided to determine the compensation for its share after stopping the export of oil."
According to Rudaw, the delegation of the Kurdistan region carries with it accurate data related to a number of areas, especially the trial balance of the expenditures and revenues of the Kurdistan region for the month in which Baghdad must release Erbil's share of the general budget in it, as Baghdad must be provided with this data monthly.
It quoted the Director General of the Kurdistan Region Customs, Samal Abdul Rahman as saying that: "Among the matters that the delegation will decide is the method of calculating and deducting 50% of the revenues from the border crossings from the Kurdistan region's share of the budget."
The Kurdish media network indicated, "The delegation of the Kurdistan region will decide in Baghdad how to deal with local revenues and deduct them from the budget by a joint committee between Baghdad and Erbil, or by a technical delegation from Baghdad, or that the Kurdistan region will calculate these revenues."
Among the other matters that will be decided upon, according to Rudaw, are the federal and non-federal revenues in the Kurdistan Region.
The head of the Cabinet of the Kurdistan Region, Masrour Barzani, said in a press conference yesterday: "After we demanded the salaries of the sixth month (June), we will move to the financial dues for (July), and the central government should release them as well."
The Kurdistan region formed a committee to discuss the issue of the budget in Iraq, consisting of the head of the Cabinet Office, the head of the Coordination and Follow-up Department, representatives of the Office of Financial Supervision and general managers in the ministries of finance, natural resources and planning.
