Royal support to Bahraini women empowerment praised

Minister of Information Ali bin Mohammed Al Romaihi has praised the royal vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa in empowering Bahraini women. He pointed out the numerous achievements brought about by Bahraini women at the regional and international level, stressing their pivotal role as an active partner in the kingdom’s sustainable and comprehensive development march.

The Minister of Information extended sincerest congratulations to Her Royal Highness Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Wife of His Majesty the King and President of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW), on the Bahraini Women’s Day which is observed this year in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of SCW and the approval of the National Action Charter. He pointed out active participation of Bahraini women in national work thanks to the support of HM the King and HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He also underlined the significant role of SCW in empowering Bahraini women and enabling them to take up high posts in the executive, legislative, judicial, diplomatic and academic fields.

The Minister of Information commended contributions of Bahraini women to national work and promoting the state of law and institutions on the basis of justice, equal opportunities and gender equality. He also praised the role of Bahraini women in the media field and their support to cultural, academic and sport development. He also lauded their presence in the front lines within Bahrain Taskforce for Combating Coronavirus, taking pride in their honorable regional and international contributions in various domains.
