Royal Police Academy Hosts Kuwaiti Women Police Delegation

Manama: Major General Fawaz Hassan Al Hassan, Commander of the Royal Police Academy, recently welcomed a delegation from the Women Police Department of Kuwait, led by Colonel Athari Mohammed Al Safi, Assistant Director of the Women Police Institute. Several officials from the academy were also present during the meeting.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Maj. Gen. Al Hassan stressed the importance of the ongoing collaboration between academic and security institutions in Bahrain and Kuwait. He noted that such visits and interactions signify the sophisticated level of security cooperation existing between the two nations.

The Commander highlighted the academy's dedication to strengthening ties and sharing expertise with the Kuwaiti Women Police Institute, particularly in training and qualification initiatives. He pointed out that these efforts contribute significantly to skill enhancement and staying updated with the latest developments in the security and military fields. The visits aim to explore best practices in police education, fostering cooperation and the exchange of successful experiences.

During their visit, the Kuwaiti delegation received an overview of the Royal Police Academy's mission, developmental progress, and operational strategies across various departments. They were familiarized with the academy's main academic and training programs, especially those designed for female personnel from the Ministry of Interior.

The delegation participated in field tours focusing on training and qualifying female staff at the Ministry of Interior and learned about the sports and training services offered by the Public Security Sports Association. They also observed live military drills by the academy's parade unit, featuring female personnel, and witnessed performances by the women's military step-measuring stick team and the police band. A guided tour of the academy's diverse facilities was also part of the itinerary.

Additionally, the delegation visited several departments within the Ministry of Interior and the Nasser Centre for Science and Technology in Khalifa City, where they learned about the center's scientific and technical capabilities. The visit included a stop at the Child Welfare Home under the Ministry of Social Development.

Colonel Al Safi expressed her commitment to enhancing partnerships and cooperation with the Royal Police Academy, aiming to serve the mutual interests of both institutions in academic and training domains.
