Manama: The Royal Medical Services of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF) has signed a groundbreaking medical insurance agreement with Solidarity Bahrain B.S.C., targeting doctors, nursing staff, and allied health professionals. This initiative is noted as the first of its kind in both the Kingdom of Bahrain and across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement underscores the Royal Medical Services' dedication to fostering a supportive environment for its healthcare personnel. This move aims to bolster cooperation with national institutions and leverage their expertise in matters related to the healthcare sector.
Major General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the Royal Medical Services, emphasized that the agreement highlights the focus on healthcare staff. He reiterated the Royal Medical Services' commitment to providing the necessary care and support for staff to perform their responsibilities to the highest standards. He acknowledged that the collaboration with Solidarity Bahrain is a significant addition to efforts aimed at enhancing services and benefits for healthcare staff, emphasizing the necessity of ongoing cooperation for mutual interests.
He further stated the Royal Medical Services' dedication to supporting healthcare staff and creating conditions conducive to their professional stability, recognizing their crucial role in delivering advanced healthcare services. He pointed out that developing the working environment is a priority in efforts to improve performance and the quality of healthcare services.
Joad Mohammed, Chief Executive Officer of Solidarity Bahrain, expressed pride in the agreement with the Royal Medical Services of the BDF.
