Royal Medical Services Celebrates Children Cancer Recovery at Bahrain Oncology Centre

Manama: The Royal Medical Services (RMS) organised an awareness event at the Bahrain Oncology Centre to celebrate the recovery of a group of children from cancer. Lieutenant General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH), and Brigadier General Dr. Shaikh Fahad bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Commander of the RMS, along with senior officials, medical staff, and the families of the children, attended the event.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the event highlighted the children's recovery stories and included symbolic activities such as ringing the recovery bell and an official recognition ceremony for the children. Their families expressed gratitude for the medical and nursing teams' care and support throughout the treatment.

The SCH Chairman commended the children's achievements, describing their recovery stories as a source of inspiration and a reflection of the Kingdom of Bahrain's progress in specialised healthcare. He underlined the importance of continuing such initiatives to raise awareness and support children with cancer and their families.

On his part, the Royal Medical Services Commander confirmed the commitment of the RMS to provide the highest standards of healthcare and to enhance treatment, rehabilitation, and psychological support programmes for patients and their families.

He added that the event reflected Bahrain's values of solidarity and the leading role of the RMS in offering a comprehensive model of care that addresses medical, psychological, and social aspects.

The event reflected the Kingdom's commitment to supporting children with cancer and advancing comprehensive and integrated healthcare.
