Manama: Nabeel bin Yacoub Al Hamer, Advisor to His Majesty the King for Media Affairs, delivered a keynote address at the 46th Asilah International Cultural Season in the Kingdom of Morocco, honouring the legacy of the late Mohamed Benassa, founder of the Asilah Cultural Forum. He commended the late Mohamed Benassa's prominent role in advancing Arab culture, noting his vision of cultural blending and his belief that culture is a shared human experience rather than the preserve of one people. He highlighted Benassa's organisation of seminars, lectures, exhibitions, and other events that brought together diverse cultures, fostering dialogue and exchange of knowledge.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Hamer also reflected on his personal friendship with Benassa spanning five decades, describing him as a figure whose passing left a deep void, while emphasising that his cultural and intellectual legacy will continue to inspire future generations.
