Manama: The Royal Golf Club held an official reception to mark the launch of the Tour 10 Golf Championship, scheduled to take place from November 6-19, 2025. This prestigious event will feature a select group of amateur golfers from Russia, Europe, and Central Asia, including 40 international players, marking the championship's inaugural hosting in the Kingdom.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Kingdom has welcomed 55 international participants and guests, including players, supporters, and officials, who have arrived specifically to take part in the championship's events. This reflects Bahrain's growing reputation as a destination for international sporting and tourism events.
The Tour 10 Championship is recognized as one of the world's most promising tournaments. Its first edition was held in Russia, and Bahrain is hosting the second edition for the 2026 season. The tournament will subsequently move to Dubai and then Turkey, as part of an international calendar aimed at developing amateur golf and enhancing competitive standards globally.
Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, Minister of Tourism, highlighted that Bahrain continues to attract valuable international sporting events, demonstrating successful integration of sports and tourism. The championships offer a platform for cultural exchange, build international connections, and combine sporting competition with genuine Bahraini hospitality. Hosting such events strengthens Bahrain's reputation as a trusted partner for global events and supports efforts to diversify the economy, including through the development of sports tourism as a sustainable sector.
Captain Waleed Abdulhameed Al Alawi, Chairman of the Royal Golf Club, expressed their aim to provide an exceptional experience for all participants, players, officials, and visitors, maintaining the highest standards of organisation and professionalism. He confirmed that the Royal Golf Club plays an active role in organising sports tourism events to attract visitors and strengthen Bahrain's position as a leading sports and tourism destination in the region.
The reception included welcome addresses and an introduction to the championship and its objectives, as well as the announcement of the participating players from various countries, in a formal celebratory atmosphere that reflected the Royal Golf Club's commitment to supporting international sporting presence in the Kingdom.
