RHF launches organic “Royal Blue Tea”

The Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) has launched its charity project – “Royal Blue Tea”/

The launch ceremony was held under the patronage of of His Majesty the King’s Representative for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

The event was attended by the Minister of Industry and Commerce Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro and Dr. Khalid Ahmed Hassan, Acting Undersecretary for Animal Wealth at the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture.

“The tea will be put in special packages without any additives in the initial phase. The product will then be provide in multiple natural flavors. In the future, multiple types of iced blue tea will be produced”, RHF Secretary-General Dr. Mustafa Al Sayyed.

He paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, hailing the role of HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

In a statement, Dr. Al Sayyed said that proceeds of the charity project will go towards supporting RHF-affiliated families, orphans and widows as well as all needy social segments.

“An agreement has been made with the Lulu International Group to market the tea in its stores around the world as a natural, healthy Bahraini product whose entire proceeds are allocated for the benefit of orphans and people of determination”, he said.

More than 400 tea trees have been in the farm run by the Agricultural Center for Vocational Training of the Bahraini Society for Mental Retardation.

“The plants are cultivated organically without using any chemicals or pesticides, which provides a natural healthy product”, said Dr. Al Sayyed.

This product was chosen because it is a herbal infusion made from blue pea flowers rich in anthocyanins, which gives tea its distinctive blue color.

It is packed with many benefits such as improving heart function, controlling blood pressure and sugar in the human body, health of the mind, skin, hair, eye and hair.

It also energises the body and contributes to weight loss, among many other benefits proven by modern science and approved by global health and food organizations.
