Manama: Under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs, the Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) organised its second charity marathon, themed "Miles for Children's Health", attracting more than 1,000 participants from across the community. The event was held at the Lost Paradise of Dilmun in coordination with the Bahrain Runners Committee.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the marathon was staged to support the insulin pump initiative, helping provide life-saving devices for children living with type 1 diabetes, while also strengthening community partnerships with supporting organisations. The programme included races for children, adults and people with disabilities, alongside healthy meal offerings from participating restaurants.
Several healthcare providers were present at the event to raise awareness about insulin pump technology, carry out basic medical checks, and offer health advice. The event concluded with the presentation of awards to the winners and recognition of the supporting entities, including Bahrain National Holding, Aramex, Bapco Engineering, Mini Bites, and Abdali Al Daisani Company.
