Representatives Sec Gen Congratulates Shura Sec Gen on Prestigious Award

Manama: Mohammed Ibrahim Al Sisi Al Buainain, Secretary-General of the Council of Representatives and Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, extended his congratulations to Kareema Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary-General of the Shura Council, upon her receiving the Arab Parliamentary Excellence Award. This accolade was awarded in the "Secretary-General of Parliament" category by the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the award ceremony took place during the 38th Conference of the Union, hosted in Algeria. Al Buainain remarked that this recognition signifies the progress and achievements occurring in all sectors under the Kingdom's comprehensive development strategy, steered by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

Al Buainain also acknowledged the ongoing support and guidance provided to the General Secretariats of both the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council by Ahmed bin Salman Al Musallam, Speaker of the Council of Representatives and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Division, and Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council. He stressed the importance of the support from all members of the Council of Representatives and the Shura Council, alongside the hard work of the staff in the two General Secretariats.

He further praised Al Abbasi for her contributions to the Shura Council's operations, highlighting her role in administrative services and her commitment to fostering collaboration with the General Secretariat of the Council of Representatives. Her dedication to enhancing the operations of General Secretariats in Arab parliaments and councils, as well as her efforts in strengthening their presence in regional and international forums, was also commended.
