Representatives Council’s Reply to Royal Speech Committee holds second meeting

The Reply to the Royal Speech Committee at the Council of Representatives today held its second meeting, under the chairmanship of MP Adel Al-Asoomi.

The panel reviewed the analytical memorandum of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s keynote speech during the inauguration of the fourth session of the Fifth Legislative Term, the committee’s work plan, and the visions of a number of lawmakers.

MP Al-Asoomi, the Chairman of the committee, said that the visions embedded in the royal keynote address constitute the national action methodology, and a roadmap that charts the mechanisms of constructive work and joint coordination to achieve the top interests of the nation and the citizens.

He expressed pride in HM the King’s constant support for the two chambers of the National Assembly, and praise of their achievements.

He affirmed that the Council of Representatives is proud of its its ongoing fruitful cooperation with the government, led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to achieve the royal visions on supporting development secctors and economic recovery in order to the achieve the goals of the Bahrain Economic Vision 2030, reach fiscal balance and boost the fields of women, youth and future sciences, as well as consolidate the principles of co-existence, pluralism, peace, human rights, among others.

Al-Asoomi added that the committee will focus on implementing HM the King’s directives to support productive, service and economic sectors, as well as translate the royal speech into a package of laws, projects and vital development initiatives that will contribute to the advancement and achievement of the country’s comprehensive progress.

Chaired by MP Adel Al-Asoomi, the Reply to the Royal Speech Committee at the Council of Representatives comprises MP Masooma Hassan as Deputy Chairperson and MPS Ali Eshaqi, Yousif Al-Thawadi, Isa Al-Qadhi, Dr. Hisham Al-Asheeri, Hammad Al-Kooheji, Mahmood Al-Bahrani, Ibrahim Al-Nefaie and Dr. Ali Al-Nuaimi as members.
