REHC Launches Bahrain Jockeys Training Programme in Partnership with Tamkeen

Manama: As part of ongoing cooperation between the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) and the Labour Fund "Tamkeen" to support and train Bahraini youth, the Jockey Foundation has announced the launch of a training programme to prepare and qualify Bahraini apprentice, entry-level, and amateur jockeys. The programme, titled 'Bahrain Jockeys', will commence on October 5, 2025, and run until the end of March 2026, as part of REHC's broader efforts to develop and train Bahraini jockeys.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the initiative aims to promote horseracing by investing in youth, enhancing the skills of Bahraini jockeys, and advancing their capabilities in line with the latest training methods. The program will be supervised by specialized trainers from the British Racing School, reflecting the Club's development vision and commitment to strengthening the base of Bahraini jockeys.

Open to Bahraini youth of both genders aged 15 to 22, the programme seeks to encourage young people to take part in horseracing and refine their skills through advanced training principles, ultimately qualifying them to participate in official races in the future.

Interested candidates may register through REHC's official website, bahrainturfclub.com, between September 14 - 20, 2025, in accordance with the specific terms and regulations listed on the website.
