Doha: Representing His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, His Highness Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Personal Representative of HM the King, participated today with their Majesties, Highnesses, and heads of Arab and Islamic states, in the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit held in Doha, to discuss the Israeli attack on Qatari territory.
According to Bahrain News Agency, upon arrival at the summit, HH Shaikh Abdullah bin Hamad was received by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar. His Majesty King Hamad addressed the summit, emphasizing Bahrain's condemnation of the Israeli attack on Doha, which is seen as a violation of Qatar's sovereignty and international law.
The King extended condolences to the Amir of Qatar and its people for the loss of National Security Force members due to the attack. He highlighted the threat this aggression poses to regional stability and peace efforts, especially amid the ongoing Gaza conflict. The King urged Arab and Islamic nations to stand in solidarity with Qatar and called for international efforts to resolve the Palestinian-Israeli conflict as per international law.
His Majesty reaffirmed Bahrain's position advocating for an immediate end to the war, protection of civilians, and the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza. He emphasized the importance of the Palestinian cause and supported the "New York Declaration" by the United Nations General Assembly for a peaceful resolution and the two-state solution.
The King praised ongoing efforts by Saudi Arabia and France to promote peace in the region and called for unity among nations in pursuit of security, stability, and prosperity. The statement concluded with a prayer for wisdom and resolve to protect national rights and achievements.
