Sepang:Malaysia: A historic Formula 1 Grand Prix event in Malaysia, following the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix, attracted a record-breaking crowd and showcased the growing significance of the race. The successful event was a result of the collaboration between Bahrain and Malaysia.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, praised His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa for his dedication to the sport, which led to the successful representation of Bahrain at the event. The race marked Formula 1's return to the Sepang International Circuit after nearly a decade, drawing over 260,000 fans.
Mohammed Ben Sulayem, FIA President, highlighted the remarkable fan response and the strong collaboration between Bahrain and Malaysia in organizing this unique Grand Prix. The event was delivered in a short timeframe, reflecting the commitment of all parties involved.
Shaikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive of Bahrain International Circuit, emphasized the opportunity to showcase Bahrain's culture and hospitality at the iconic Sepang venue. The participation of more than 260,000 fans made it the biggest event ever held at the circuit.
