RAK Art Foundation Thanks Crown Prince and Prime Minister for Exhibition Inauguration


Manama: Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Founder of the RAK Art Foundation, expressed his appreciation to His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, for inaugurating the Rashid bin Khalifa Art Collection exhibition. The gesture is seen as a significant boost to Bahrain’s cultural and artistic sector.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa stated that the inauguration reflects HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister’s commitment to supporting the arts and using culture to reinforce national identity, raise cultural awareness, and support creative talent. This contributes to fostering an open and culturally engaged society.



He further noted that the project will enhance Bahrain’s role as a regional hub for cultural dialogue and contemporary creativity. It aligns with the Kingdom’s vision of culture as a vital component of sustainable development and international cultural exchange.



Situated in Saar, the Rashid bin Khalifa Art Collection is a museum featuring over 260 modern and contemporary artworks from the Middle East and North Africa, as well as Trkiye, Azerbaijan, and Iran. These pieces are drawn from the founder’s personal collection.



The collection offers a curated narrative that bridges heritage and innovation, showcasing the evolution and diversity of artistic expression in the region. Through its main and south wings, it provides a platform that connects tradition with contemporary artistic practice.
